The one purpose of Team Church begins with reaching people where
they are. The web is a good starting place for reaching out, but
it's nothing compared to meeting you in person. Drop an
to let us know how we can connect better.
Sundays are high-energy! From turning a gym into a worship
space, to creative songs and video, we have a good
time. With excellent and down-to-earth teaching, we also discuss
tough issues that individuals and families are confronted
with every single day. Come as you are, and be ready for a
life-changing encounter with God!
You should plan on dressing casually, Jeans, shorts, sandals... it's all good.
We offer Team Kid for babies through 5th grade on Sunday mornings
during the worship hour. High School students also have a home team they can
attend on Sunday evenings.
Sundays are just the beginning to building spiritual maturity and
lasting relationships with others. Home Teams are small groups
that meet in homes during the week. Click on the link to find out
how
The Bible provides clear direction with regard to certain essential
beliefs. In non-essential matters, confusion exists regarding proper
translation of biblical concepts and their application to life in a
modern society. At Team Church, we believe that we should be unified
in those matters on which the Bible gives clear teaching while
"agreeing to disagree" about those matters which are deemed
non-essential. Most importantly, we believe genuine love and charity
should be expressed in all areas.
God
God is the creator and sustainer of the universe. He has eternally
existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit. These three are coequal and are the one God.Genesis 1:1-27 -
Deuteronomy 6:4 - Psalm 90:121 - Matthew 28:19 - Acts 5:3-4 - 2
Corinthians 13:14 - Peter 1:2
Jesus
Jesus is
the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father God. Jesus was born to a
virgin, lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect
sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from
the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.
He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to
reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the only way for
people to be reconciled to God.Isaiah 9:63 - Matthew 1:22-2 - John
1:1-5 - John 14:10-30 - Acts 1:9-11 - Romans 1:3-4 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
- 1 Timothy 6:14-15 - Titus 2:13 - Hebrews 4:14-15
The Holy Spirit
The
Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father God and Jesus. He is present in
this world to make men aware of their need to know Jesus Christ. He
also lives in every follower of Jesus from the moment of salvation. He
provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of
spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every
believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As followers of Jesus we
seek to live under His control daily.John 14:16-17 - John 16:7-13 -
Acts 1:8 - 1 Corinthians 2:12 - 1 Corinthians 3:16 - 2 Corinthians 3:17
- Galatians 5:25 - Ephesians 1:13
Salvation
Salvation
is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up
for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in
Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from
sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus
in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives
Jesus Christ into his or her life by faith.John 1:12 - John 14:6 -
Romans 5:1 - Romans 6:23 - Galatians 3:26 - Ephesians 2:8-9 - Titus 3:5
The Bible
The
Bible is God's word. It was given to us by God through human beings who
were inspired by Him. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian
beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth
without any mixture of error.Psalm 12:6 - Psalm 119:105, 160 - Proverbs
30:5 - 2 Timothy 1:13 - 2 Timothy 3:16 - 2 Peter 1:20-21
Baptism
We
believe baptism is the first step of the Christian life. After someone
makes a faith decision by inviting Christ to take total control of his
or her life, baptism is the next step. Baptism is a public statement of
something that has already occurred in your life. When you are
baptized, you are publicly saying that you are now a part of Christ's
team and you are a Christ follower. Baptism is simply a step of
obedience in the Christian life. Christ was baptized by immersion, and
therefore we baptize by immersion at CSF. Baptism alone does not ensure
salvation. Salvation only comes through faith in Jesus Christ.Matthew
28:19-20
Human Beings
Human
beings were made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in
character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although
every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by
an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude
separates people from God and causes many problems in life.Genesis 1:27
- Psalm 8:3-6 - Isaiah 53:6 - Isaiah 59:1-2 - Romans 3:23
Eternal Security
God
gave us eternal life through Jesus Christ which means the true believer
is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely
saved, you cannot lose it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and
power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace
and keeping power of God that gives us security.John 10:28-29 - 2
Timothy 1:12 - Hebrews 7:25 - Hebrews 10:10, 14 - 1 Peter 1:3-5
Eternity
People
were created to exist forever. We will either exist separated from God
by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be
eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him
is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal
existence.Matthew 1:8 - Matthew 2:44-46 - John 2:25 - John 3:16 - John
5:11-13 - Romans 6:23 - Revelation 20:15
